Decent choice of desserts on the menu, and the prices are a little bit cheaper than some other dessert places in the city. The cookie dough is great, if you like a super sweet and rich dessert. The traditional hot desserts like jam roly poly are decent too. I would only ever get one of those two things, but i once tasted one of the waffles which was completely forgettable. The desserts are best served fresh (sitting in rather than takeaway)... if you don't mind the tacky interior and the not-very-well-cleaned tables. The staff and service varies from "indifferent" to "okay".

service was poor, hardly anyone in but over 6 staff and they brought out 1 dessert at a time over the space of 45 mins then got my order wrong . Good desserts but slow staff.

We visited the cafe on 26/August 2020. We had to wait there for about 10 mins to be seated. When we sat we ordered 2 desserts and 2 bottles of water. Waited 45 mins and not even the water was served. complained 2 times because other tables that came 10 mins after us had 4 desserts at that time. I dont understand how this happens? Only when I complained 3rd time, they brought the desserts. WITH NO CUTLERY. Ice cream was melting, water was not there. Cutlery arrived late and dirty. when you cant manage because its busy, dont take more people up to a level where you can manage. MANAGEMENT.

Decent deserts selections which were average but for price can't be too critical. The mocktails were a bit too sweet. Staff at front door was very helpful. There is on street parking available if lucky however it is near 2 car parks (China Town).

We waited for 40 minutes to get what we orderd

Just visited in Aug 2020, waiting outside for 5 min, then around 15-20 min to order, then wait for 30 min just to serve softy ice cream with flavoured sauce, they should have said at gate that ice cream scoops not available, staff are running here and there, delivers order at wrong tables 😀, no safety measures at all by staff, no appron or masks. Delivered ice cream 🍨 sundae without spoon 🙃, when asked for spoons, very cheap stainless spoons provided for the price of the ice cream Sundae 🍨. No tissues on tables.

First visit yesterday and although the food was delicious, the cleanliness was worrying, especially as we're in middle of a pandemic. Quite unorganised to meet the covid guidelines. A Hand sanitiser at entrance was a plus as was customers had to sign in a book with name and number (I'm guessing for the track and trace) but unfortunately it was on display for all to see so is a breach of GDPR. Tables were left dirty until new customers arrived. Windows and floor could do with a clean too. Staff didn't wear any ppe when handling our food or delivering it to our table and a family of 6 were seated right next to us. As one of us was high risk it wasn't the best first experience unfortunately. This place could be amazing if better guidence procedures were in place. Hopefully next time will be better 🤞

Food was great. It's half price today so it was super busy. Staff gave me one additional ice cream for free by accident so I can't complaint but the guy who was waiting for this ice cream wasn't very happy so I thought I will get them 5 stars to compensate for this :)

My Breakfast tea came in a Chipped teapot. I had to call the waitress back over for milk and sugar, and then again for a teaspoon for which I was given a dessert spoon. My partner had flowering tea, which came in a dirty glass still with the last person's lip marks on it. Granted they were happy to replace it but im not impressed as we're in the middle of an epidemic. My children enjoyed their deserts but the feeling of disgust has ruined the experience. Avoid like the plague... Unless you actually want the plague!

No ice cream. Dirty. Served drinks in bottles, but no glasses. When asked for glasses, the staff looked at me like I was mad. They eventually brought me a class, but it was dirty. No ice cream in an ice cream parlour is not a good business model. No soap in the bathroom.

Staff are a bit abrupt. The milkshakes nice but rest of desserts are average. Staff arent very nice.Also close at half 11 but dont serve you at 10:45? Could atleast put a notice up stating when last order is.Didnt even let me get takeout... Shop had a lot of tables free but they didnt serve us. Dont understand why as we werent given a reason just told us cant come in. Yesterday the girl also told us theres no tables in a rude manner.Yesteray there busy so fair enough but today they were not busy.

The food was amazing - my boyfriend and I both ordered cookie doughs. It was our first time there so it took us a while to figure out that we had to order at the till. We also happened to sit near the door where the speaker was at. The music was rather deafening

I've been going to sweet dreams since it opened and was by far the best place for its cookie dough but the last couple of times I've been its been a cookie not cookie dough. I won't be going back in a hurry until it goes back to the way it was.

The freak shake is too peng

It's really average, I'm convinced that the stock for Sweet Dreams, Kaspas, Ice Stone etc are the same and their suppliers are one. I cannot tell a difference whatsoever. Would've got 4 stars for being average but the parking situation is abysmal at most times.

The Best deserts shop in Newcastle upon Tyne, but Sometimes customer service a bit slow.

Ice cream seems melted because its covered only with pizza boxes. Display cakes look old The customer service was nice and polite.

Food is okay I guess, service is subpar with very few decent workers

Mixed feelings. A nice variety of desserts which taste nice however, service at times can be SUPER slow. An hours wait for milkshake orders which is really a let down.

Wonderful restaurant serving pancakes and waffles

Uncomfortable seating, noisy music and cold atmosphere. Inattentive staff. Tea was tasty but ended up overbrewed as no way to take the brewing ball out of the teapot (?). My plate also had an actual corner missing, not just a chip. Huge variety to choose from but disappointing overall.

Cheesecake was like rubber! Had one taste and binned it, which is what they should’ve done last week.

Lovely place not once have I left unsatisfied, this place is addictive! 😋

Waited 25min for a ice blast and crepe got charged £16 got home to eat it was terrible size and well over rated lady behind counter to busy on her iPhone slow service not going back..

Good desserts

Half a pot of tea with a chipped lid. Ice cream tasted off. Gritty and lack of taste. Would expect a snickers ice to be full of flavour but was like it's been left open in the freezer too long? No toilet paper.

The milkshake was okay but the waiting time was simply unacceptable. They were not very busy and had about 6 customers in :(

Waffle on point, light and fluffy

Slow service, 4 staff were all busy talking amongst themselves. Had to wait 10 minuted after repeatedly being noticed. Eventually was served, I ordered a slice of cake, a waffle and 2 pots of tea. The waffle came and was almost finished and still no signs of the slice of cake and pots of tea. I'd understand if the waffle took long to prepare however the slice of cake takes less than 10 seconds to cut and you just press the button for boiled water. Not happy with the slow service however staff were polite.

I ordered off of deliveroo instead of calling me or rejecting my order to let me know the items I ordered weren’t available I received vanilla ice cream (I had ordered lemon sorbet) as I am lactose intolerant I was very upset as I would have chosen something else instead of receiving two items I could not eat. Very disappointed as problem could have been resolved easily.
